SOWING :  ALL SEASONS

The best time for sowing  is from January to February for the summer crop and in july for the rainy season crop for an enhanced yield .

GERMINATION: 7 to 14 days after sowing

Bitter gourd seeds will sprout and show signs of life within 7 to 14 days under ideal conditions.  Within a few weeks, your plant will be ready for a trellis or support system to help it reach its full potential.your vines will begin to flower around 30-40 days after sowing. The female flowers, which will eventually become your delicious gourds, typically make their appearance about 10 days after the first male flowers

HARVESTING : 55-60 days after sowing.

Bitter gourd fruits are typically ready for harvest around 55-60 days after sowing. Look for fruits that are tender, firm, and have a vibrant green color. Remember, they ripen quickly, so harvest frequently (every 2-3 days!) to prevent them from turning yellow or orange and becoming overly bitter.
