Coleus salmon pink plant

Buy the Coleus salmon pink plant from our Santhi online plant nursery website.

Coleus salmon pink cultivar that has unusually large, bright green leaves with a pink midrib. Coleus Salmon Pink is an excellent pot and garden plant for shade. On well-branched plants, large leaves with patterns. This shade choice is ideal for large containers, mixed combos, and landscapes. Also works with indoor plant programs. It prefers full shade for best results.

The utilisation of unexpected colour combinations on leaves in Coleus salmon pink shade garden beds and containers adds appeal. The appealing broad serrated pointy leaves of the Salmon Pink Coleus retain light green in colour with unusual coral-pink veins and tinges of dark crimson throughout the year on a plant with an upright developing style of growth. There are many branches on these colourful plants, and each leaf has a unique pattern. When grown in full shade, these foliage plants may tolerate hot summers with little care. Growing these flower seeds is a fascinating experience.

Maintenance:

  • This plant thrives in partial to full shade. It thrives in evenly wet, well-drained soil, but will perish in standing water.
  • It doesn’t care about the pH of the soil; however, it prefers rich soils. It is extremely tolerant of urban pollutants and can even survive in densely populated areas.
  • During the growing season, spread a thick mulch around the root zone to conserve soil moisture.
  • The amount of light a plant receives can have a significant impact on its size and colour. A site with early sun and partial afternoon shadow is ideal for the best leaf colour.
  • Darker-leaved types are better at handling more sunlight than lighter-leaved varieties. Also, because their semi-succulent stems are prone to breakage, pick a wind-protected location.
  • Coleus grows well in most damp, well-draining soils. In pots, use high-quality, well-draining potting soil.
  • Coleus thrives when fertilised on a regular basis. When planting pots, use a slow-release fertiliser and supplement with a water-soluble fertiliser every two weeks or as needed

Benefits:

  • Coleus is cultivated as an ornamental plant.
